Awasi Iguazú does not follow the logic of a hotel. Fourteen individual villas stand on stilts in the Atlantic Rainforest — one of the most biodiverse ecosystems remaining in Argentina — each reminiscent of a treehouse, each with its own private terrace and plunge pool looking deep into the jungle canopy. The birdsong here is relentless.

What makes Awasi categorically different is the private guide model. Every villa is assigned a dedicated naturalist guide and a private 4×4 for the duration of the stay. There are no group departure times, no set schedules — just you, your guide, and the Iguazú region designed entirely around your curiosity and pace. The falls are 20 minutes away, but most guests discover there is far more here than waterfalls.

The Yacuí Reserve — Awasi's own private tract of pristine Atlantic Rainforest, accessible exclusively to lodge guests — offers kayaking, camera trap inspection with naturalists, and the kind of silence that the falls' famous crowds will never know. Chef Mauricio Alvez, a Misiones native, completes the experience with cuisine rooted in the culinary heritage of the Guaraní.

Villas That Live
Within the Forest

Each of Awasi's 14 villas is built on stilts, bringing guests to canopy level and immersing them in the sounds and light of the Atlantic Rainforest. Interiors use native hardwoods, natural textures, and artisan decorations rooted in Guaraní craft traditions.

Every villa features a private terrace with plunge pool. The Master Villa expands to two bedrooms with a shared living room, perfect for two couples or a family travelling together. Your private guide and dedicated 4×4 vehicle await throughout.

Dining & Flavours

Chef Mauricio Alvez
Guaraní Table

Awasi's restaurant is reserved exclusively for lodge guests — a single intimate room where the day's excursions find their culinary counterpart. Chef Mauricio Alvez, who grew up in Misiones, built his cooking beside his grandmother. His menus celebrate seasonal fruits of the Atlantic Forest, local cheeses, freshwater fish, and the citrus-bright flavours of yerba mate country.

On full-day excursions, the kitchen team prepares private picnic lunches delivered to your location in the forest or by the river. Back at the lodge, sundowner drinks on the deck overlooking Brazil across the Iguazú River close the day in the way only Awasi can arrange.

Six Defining Moments

🌊
Devil's Throat at Dawn
Your private guide ensures you arrive at the Argentine catwalks before the gates open — the Devil's Throat at first light, with morning mist and the falls entirely to yourselves.
🚤
Hidden Waterfalls by Boat
From Awasi's own private river access, navigate upstream into hidden jungle creeks only reachable by boat — waterfalls completely unknown to standard Iguazú visitors.
🇵🇾
Salto Monday · Paraguay
Cross into Paraguay via the Iguazú and Paraná rivers to discover Salto Monday — one of South America's most spectacular yet least-visited waterfalls, deep in Atlantic Forest.
Jesuit Mission Ruins
Drive to the ruins of 17th-century Jesuit reductions at San Ignacio Miní, built alongside the Guaraní community. Your private guide brings the story vividly to life.
🦜
Yacuí Private Reserve
Exclusive access to Awasi's own reserve bordering Iguazú National Park — kayak the Yacuí Creek, inspect camera traps with naturalists, enter forest visitors never reach.
🏺
Guaraní Community Visit
Spend a morning with a Guaraní community led by local guides. Learn traditional hunting techniques, medicinal plants, and artisan crafts made from materials harvested from the rainforest.

Why Awasi Iguazú

The Only Way to See Iguazú
That Goes Beyond the Falls

Most Iguazú visitors see the falls and leave. Awasi guests discover that the falls are just the beginning: private jungle reserves, hidden Paraguayan waterfalls reachable only by boat, Jesuit ruins, Guaraní communities, and the most biodiverse forest in Argentina — all explored at your own pace with your own expert guide. The all-inclusive model and the private guide per villa create an experience no other property at Iguazú can match.
