Amangani — peaceful home in Sanskrit and Shoshone — was conceived by architect Ed Tuttle and opened in 1998 as the first Aman resort in North America. The resort sits on East Gros Ventre Butte at 7,000 feet, with a linear layout ensuring every suite faces the same view of the Grand Teton range and Snake River Valley. Oklahoma sandstone walls, Pacific redwood beams, and woven cowhide chairs bring the landscape inside. The hotel is currently closed for a major refurbishment — new presidential suite and expanded spa — reopening Summer 2026.
The Amangani Suite is 72 square metres with high ceilings, a gas-burning fireplace, a deep soaking tub with Teton views, and a private balcony or patio. In winter, the resort operates an exclusive ski lounge at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort — ski gear storage, boot warming, concierge, and apres-ski drinks. The 115-foot outdoor heated infinity pool is heated year-round at 84 degrees, with steam rising as elk graze in the valley below.
The Aman Spa uses stones from the nearby Snake River for hot stone massages, alongside Himalayan salt scrubs. The resort naturalist leads private wildlife safaris through Grand Teton National Park, and snowmobile expeditions are available through Yellowstone. Horse-drawn sleigh rides through the National Elk Refuge are available in winter with 25,000 elk at close range.

The suite features a gas-burning fireplace, king-size bed dressed in Aman linens, deep soaking tub with valley views, walk-in shower, and heated floors. Woven cowhide chairs and faux-wolf throws reflect the Wyoming wilderness beyond the glass.
In winter, the Amangani Ski Lounge at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort provides ski gear storage, boot warming, and a concierge for lift tickets and private guides. The 115-foot outdoor infinity pool is heated year-round at 84 degrees. The Aman Spa offers Snake River stone treatments and Himalayan salt scrubs. The Grill is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, specialising in local ranch meats, trout, bison, and elk.
The Grill at Amangani is a redwood-panelled dining room overlooking the Snake River Valley. The kitchen produces a new American cuisine from Wyoming finest ranch ingredients — local Wagyu beef, bison, elk, and Snake River trout. Breakfast is served beside a log fire with the Teton range as backdrop.
The Zinc Bar provides apres-ski cocktails beside the grand fireplace. The kitchen team signature huckleberry lemonade — made from locally foraged huckleberries — is served to every arriving guest.
