Nile Cruise & Four Seasons Cairo

The Ultimate Egypt Journey
12 Days · Emirates Business Class
"Sail through the cradle of civilization along the timeless Nile."
The Journey

Where Antiquity
Breathes Anew

Egypt does not reveal itself all at once. It opens like a papyrus scroll — slowly, deliberately, each layer more extraordinary than the last. This twelve-day ultra-luxury journey is conceived for the discerning traveller who refuses to choose between cultural depth and world-class indulgence. Throughout, you travel on Emirates Business Class with fully flat beds and private suites — arriving at every destination as rested as you are anticipatory.

At the centre of the experience lies the legendary Oberoi Zahra — universally acclaimed as the most luxurious river cruise vessel on the Nile. With only twenty-seven suites, every detail is intimate: panoramic windows framing the riverbank at dawn, an onboard spa where the only sound is the current, a dining room where gourmet menus evolve each evening as the temples outside do the same.

The journey opens and closes at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza — where the Pyramids of Giza are visible at dusk from your riverside suite. Between these two exceptional addresses, the itinerary unfolds through Luxor, the Valley of the Kings, Karnak, Aswan, Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Abu Simbel — the entire arc of pharaonic civilisation, traced in the company of expert Egyptologists, at a pace that allows genuine understanding.

Every Richseen journey is individually crafted. Your private consultant will tailor each day to your preferences, pace, and passions.

Day 1
Departure — Emirates Business Class
Your journey begins at the departure gate, where the transition from ordinary life to extraordinary travel starts in the private quiet of Emirates Business Class. Lie-flat beds, fine dining at altitude, and a landing at Cairo International that already feels like arrival in another era.
Day 2
Cairo — The Giza Plateau
Private transfer to the Four Seasons Cairo. Your first encounter with ancient Egypt is arranged for the afternoon: the Khafre Pyramid, still bearing polished limestone casing near its apex, and the Great Sphinx, whose expression has surveyed the same horizon for forty-five centuries. A private Egyptologist contextualises what no guidebook can.
Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza
Days 3–4
Cairo — Egyptian Museum & Old Cairo
Two days in Cairo proper. The Egyptian Museum — a private after-hours access visit to the Tutankhamun treasure and the Royal Mummy Gallery, arranged exclusively for your group. Old Cairo with a scholar guide: the Coptic quarter, the Ibn Tulun Mosque, the medieval Khan el-Khalili.
Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza
Day 5
Luxor — Embarkation on the Oberoi Zahra
Morning flight to Luxor. Transfer to the Zahra's private dock. Embarkation is unhurried — Champagne poured, your suite presented. First shore excursion: Luxor Temple at dusk, when the columns turn amber and the scale of pharaonic ambition becomes, for the first time, physically comprehensible.
The Oberoi Zahra, River Nile
Days 6–7
Valley of the Kings, Karnak & Sailing South
Rise before dawn for the Valley of the Kings — tombs sealed for millennia, walls painted thirty-two centuries ago, your Egyptologist translating images that most visitors walk past unseeing. Karnak in the afternoon: the largest religious complex ever built. The Zahra then moves south.
The Oberoi Zahra, River Nile
Days 8–9
Edfu, Kom Ombo & Aswan
Edfu's Temple of Horus — the best-preserved ancient temple in Egypt — at sunrise, before the day-trippers arrive. Kom Ombo's extraordinary dual-deity sanctuary above the riverbank. Aswan: Philae Temple at sunset, a traditional felucca around Elephantine Island, the Oberoi Spa on the final evening.
The Oberoi Zahra, River Nile
Day 10
Abu Simbel — Rameses II at First Light
Fly to Abu Simbel for the most dramatic encounter of the journey. Four colossal statues of Rameses II — each twenty metres high — guard the entrance to a temple carved from living rock and relocated entire in the 1960s. Morning arrival captures the architecture at its most golden.
Days 11–12
Return to Cairo — Final Evening & Departure
Return to Cairo and the Four Seasons. A final rooftop dinner with the Nile below and the hazy silhouette of Giza in the distance. Emirates Business Class carries you home the following day, bearing twelve days and three thousand years.
